Francisco López Machado, Nació en Cali, Colombia. Es profesional en Biología con énfasis en Entomología y Especialista en Docencia Para la Educación Superior y Fotógrafo de la Naturaleza con énfasis en Fotografía Macro.

Además de su trabajo como biólogo, desde el año 2009 ha venido trabajando como fotógrafo en una gran cantidad de proyectos y publicaciones, entre las que se puede destacar:

Además en el volumen XXI, No 3 de la revista INNOVACIÓN Y CIENCIA de la Asociación Colombiana para el Avance de las Ciencias, ACAC, se publicó su artículo EL GRAN MUNDO DE LAS COSAS PEQUEÑAS: aplicaciones de la fotografía macro en la biología, donde hace una descripción de las técnicas y estrategias utilizadas en sus trabajos con fotografía macro.

Ha realizado tres exposiciones fotográficas EL GRAN MUNDO DE LAS COSAS PEQUEÑAS una en Cali en noviembre de 2011 en la Fundación Jacaranda. En Bugalagrande en Mayo del 2013, en la Fundación La Otra Esquina. En 2015 y 2018 en el marco de INSECTOPOLIS, en la Biblioteca Departamental en Santiago de Cali, todas muy bien recibidas y con muy buena asistencia.

En el campo de la docencia, ha estructurado un curso/taller de fotografía macro especialmente para Biólogos, Agrónomos y profesiones afines, donde a partir de la gran importancia que la fotografía tiene para las ciencias biológicas, enseña todas las técnicas necesarias para lograr imágenes de alto impacto tanto en campo como en laboratorio.

En la parte técnica ofrece los servicios de asesoría en todo lo relacionado con el montaje de laboratorios de imágenes con fines científicos, en la adquisición de equipos especializados de fotografía, el montaje de los mismos y el perfeccionamiento de los protocolos para la toma, como en el procesamiento y almacenamiento de las imágenes.

Francisco López Machado was born in Cali, Colombia. He is a biologist with an emphasis in Entomology, a Specialist in Education Teaching, and a Nature Photographer with an emphasis in Macro Photography.

In addition to his work as a biologist, he has been working as a photographer since 2009 on many projects and publications. Among the projects and publications that can be highlighted are:
